National Public Lands Day

Saturday, September 28, 2024 (9:00 AM - 12:00 PM) (MDT)

Description

Saturday September 28 is National Public Lands Day, which is the nation's largest single day volunteer effort!

The National Park Service waives entrance fees on the 28th, but as a volunteer, you'll receive a voucher for a free day to a National Park for future use. Plus a snazzy t-shrt!

Join the Chaffee Rec Adopters & the BLM for a dispersed campsite cleanup along the Arkansas River for National Public Lands Day! We'll be venturing down the canyon to the "Woody's" dispersed camping area, partnering with AHRA to build fencing to contain campsites and revegetate overused areas.

9am - Noon
